The Haryana Government has introduced significant changes to the Common Eligibility Test (CET) policy. Now, for Group C and Group D recruitments, candidates who pass the CET will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio. This decision was approved during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
10 Times More Candidates to Be Shortlisted
Under the revised policy, candidates qualifying for CET will be shortlisted ten times the number of vacancies available for further stages of the recruitment process. This new rule aims to provide more opportunities for aspirants to compete for government jobs. The policy has received official approval and will soon be implemented.
CET Policy Revision Rules, 2024
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the CET Policy Revision Rules, 2024 have been introduced to simplify and make the recruitment process more transparent. Under this policy, the shortlisting of candidates in a 1:10 ratio will be mandatory for all relevant recruitments.
Exemptions for Specific Posts
Certain posts, such as teaching roles and some positions under Group D, have been exempted from the CET requirement. As per the Haryana Group D Recruitment Act, 2018, these positions will not require candidates to pass CET for recruitment.
Simplified and Transparent Recruitment Process
The revised CET policy is expected to make the hiring process easier and more transparent. With this change, the government aims to provide fair opportunities for candidates while ensuring an efficient recruitment process.
